Antitarlo PERMETAR® is an insecticide formulation based on permethrin in a special odorless solvent for the prevention, conservation, restoration and treatment of wood.

Ready-to-use solution specific for the prevention and fight against xylophagous insects (woodworm, capricorn, sirex, lyctus).

Quantity

PERMETAR® differs from most of the woodworms on the market thanks to two important characteristics of its formulation:

the presence of a special odorless aliphatic solvent (aromatics less than 0.1%) capable of guaranteeing rapid penetration of the woodworm into the various wood species;

high percentage of permethrin (0.38g / 100g) which allows to treat the wood in an effective and lasting way even with few quantities of product (150-250 ml square meter).

Total quantity of active ingredient: permethrin (cis / trans 25/75) 0.38 g.

On finished products, the treatment does not damage patinas or polishes, even with wax or shellac, does not stain or grease, does not alter gilding, decorations and coloring (always make preliminary tests).

PERMETAR® acts on larvae and adults by contact and ingestion very quickly, also exerting an anti-food action (antifeeding) against insects. And it was studied by the Laboratory of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure and CNR-defense of wood in Florence, for the treatment of valuable artifacts but is also widely used on wood in place (beams, parquet, coatings, etc.).

General features:

ODORLESS

VERY LOW TOXICITY FOR HUMANS

HIGH EFFECTIVENESS

PERSISTENCE OVER TIME

NOT INFLAMMABLE

Advantages of the treatment:

Immediate killing of adult insects in flickering and larva stage;

protection against seasonal infestations from outside;

long permanence of the efficacy due to the chemical stability of the active principle.

PERMETAR® has been specially designed to be distributed by brush, but can also be used for injection, immersion, low pressure spraying and vacuum impregnation.

The application does not darken the product, but rather revives the brightness of the wood fiber; it must be carried out after the stripping, grouting and carting operations, and before painting and final lacquering. If you do not want to remove the paint from the furniture, it is possible to carry out the treatment in the interior of the furniture and in the unpainted parts.

PERMETAR® is also suitable for cleaning wood, to which it restores the original color; also mixed with small quantities of straw-colored oil in the case of particularly dry and degraded woods.

Instructions for Use:

With a suitably large brush, we will abundantly brush the PERMETAR® antitarlo on all unpainted parts of the furniture (raw wood). In cases of fully treated surfaces (for example painted) where it is not possible to bring the wood to its raw state, it is necessary to proceed by injecting the anti-woodworm PERMETAR® with a syringe into the holes made by insects or with PERMETAR® Antitarlo Spray.

Back, interiors and bottoms of drawers and furniture must be treated, trying to apply as much product as possible. When the type of furniture allows it, it will be useful to fold it on its side or overturn it, to brush the anti-woodworm liquid perpendicularly to the surface to be treated, so that the force of gravity helps the product to penetrate deeply into the wooden structure. Thanks to its characteristics, in fact, the liquid anti-woodworm penetrates deeply into the wood, allowing it to reach even the insects nested more deeply.

After the first coat of anti-woodworm has been absorbed by the wood and the treated surface will be dry again (a few days are required), a second coat will be applied, always following the procedure described above.

At this point we will move on to closing the woodworm holes, which can be done with wax sticks or putty.

For books, fabrics and carpets, use a spray bottle or the PERMETAR® spray version and moisten the parts to be treated (always carry out preliminary tests).

Warnings:

Do not contaminate food, drinks or containers intended to contain during use. If the product is used in a place where you stay for a long time or in the bedrooms, ventilate the room sufficiently before staying again. After application or in case of skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Do not dispose of the container in the environment after use.
