Wide version: 2.5 mm edge spacing

Proper spacing of strings on the upper nut of the violin is a must, both from functional and esthetic point of view. Proper spacing involves correct and even outside gap from the fingerboard on both sides (G and E string) and even spacing of the strings mutually (see the diagram). Depending on the diameters of single strings in the set, the groove axes are unique for every type of the string set.

We made this time-consuming task easy:

Just attach the appropriate template and use a file for string grooves, marking the upper nut. The result enables a precise and quick string setting.

Stainless steel, available for most common Thomastik and Pirastro string types 4/4 size violin.
