Good quality

Just received the Lie-Nielsen Nr.6 jointer plane. I adjusted it for a thin shaving and tried it on some scrap maple. It is amazing at how it took such a thin shaving off.

superb

The build and finish of the plane is superb; the wooden tote and handle are great to look at and fantastic to use. No machine marks are evident on the sole or blade. I was pleasantly surprised to find the sole to be dead flat out of the box, I checked it with a combination square.
