Crafted from medium-fine grain limestone sourced from the Kumamoto/Sage region, this natural stone features a dense structure and uniform grain, making it ideal for intermediate sharpening.

Technical Specifications:

-Grit: 800–1000, perfect for restoring the edge of blades that have dulled, suitable for sharpening within the 600 to 3000 grit range.

-Dimensions: 195 x 60 x 40 mm, with an abrasive surface of 195 x 60 mm and an effective thickness of 30 mm.

-Abrasive Material: Natural stone, selected for its medium wear rate and long-lasting performance.

-Recommended Steel Types: Best suited for low-alloy carbon steels, especially hand-forged varieties.

-Application: Ideal for knives and tools, providing precise sharpening and excellent results.

As the legendary Japanese blacksmith Shigeoshi Iwasaki once said, "The blade and the sharpening stone must be perfectly matched." This stone embodies that philosophy, offering not just effective sharpening but also a satisfying sensory experience.

Rare stones from the Honyama archaeological site are increasingly difficult to find, but we have secured limited batches of these precious materials. They should be used exclusively with water and stored in frost-free environments. Due to their natural composition, slight variations in structure and dimensions may occur
