Shellac is the purified, processed crude Seedlac.

Dewaxed Ruby Shellac is very rare and hard to find. It produces a stunning deep reddish mahogany looking tone on most lighter woods. It is highly desirable for preparation of modern varnishes and antique restorations. It is a very popular shade for a warm looking general finish on light to medium woods. It will produce one of the most beautiful finishes in violinmaking. Our Ruby shellac is also dewaxed. This provides the advantage of being fully compatible with most of other natural resins. It has a wonderful clarity and depth of shine.
